He has dedicated decades to both professional land development and high-impact community volunteerism. He is now bringing this extensive experience in large-scale construction and community advocacy to Vista Villa Not-For-Profit, where he continues his mission of enhancing senior living and multicultural care infrastructure.

 

Professional Leadership & Community Service

Tim has held numerous high-level positions in prominent Canadian organizations:

• Chairman, Board of Directors: Mon Sheong Foundation (2010–Present).

   

• National Seniors Council: Served with the Government of Canada (2015–2018).

   

• Hospital Foundation Leadership: Member of the Governing Council at Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation and the Geriatric Cabinet at Mount Sinai Hospital.

   

• President: HKS Soccer Club (1999–Present).

Through the Sheppard Group and other ventures, Tim has been the principal behind several landmark residential and commercial projects:

• Nashdene Business Park: One of the largest commercial and industrial complexes of its type in Toronto.

   

• Broadview Mews: A multi-phase assembly of townhouses and mixed-use commercial/residential spaces.

   

Philanthropic Impact

As a volunteer, Tim has been instrumental in expanding senior care infrastructure in Ontario, including:

• Developing and building Six Long Term Care facilities serving multicultural residents.

   

• Leading the construction of Four Senior Care Living campuses.

   

• Pioneering two Private Care and Charity Care Living projects that operated without government funding—the first of their kind in Canada.
